Cruise to Mindoro

Floral print button up shirt from Nava, blue skirt from SM, sandals from Topshop, sunnies from 21Men

I've mentioned in my previous post that I've been wearing monochrome outfits lately--more like, I've been wearing neutrals since forever. I thought that I needed to tweak my wardrobe a bit and add a little bit more color. Actually, I wanted my to do the mono-floral outfit but unfortunately the store doesn't have the matching bottoms for the top. Instead, I took ideas from the 1950s casual look: buttoned up blouse, waist-cinched A-line skirt, red lipstick (the one I used has a strong orange base; NARS Red Square), and Andy Warhol frames (although he's more known in the 60s).

White Hot

White polo from Banana Republic, white shorts from Bangkok, white platform brogues from Nava

NARS Schiap Lipstick

Surprise, surprise!

Due to my friends' constant buggering, I'm breaking my long hiatus. But don't expect me updating every single day as what I used to do.

Anyway, ever since I dyed my hair, I've been wearing monochrome outfits to balance the liveliness of my hair. Since it's excruciatingly hot this summer, it just gives me enough reason to wear all-white! I used hot pink lipstick for this outfit to break the monochrome and add a little color for the summer.

Another reason why I've been loving the all-white, buttoned up look is because Lana Del Rey is my new music and style icon. Her songs have been playing on loop and I can't help but draw inspiration from her style since it's just so tasteful and fresh. Not to mention, her hair is just diviiine! She's got this 50s vibe on her  but with a modern and youthful take on it--which I totally adore!

Don't you just love her?

Saturday Entertainment

October 22, 2011

The classic American musical film, Sound of Music, believe it or not, is being performed by our very own Filipino talents at Resorts World! All I can say is... WORLD CLASS

I love their innovative souvenir program! Instead of the usual background check of the story, the "Gazette" had articles that would correspond to the happenings during the 1930's (pre-WWII).

Dinner at New Orleans with my mom and other relatives.

Real Steel with Alex and cousins.

Settle Down

If you haven't chanced upon this artist around the internet, I introduce you Kimbra! Who is by the way is at fault for causing me major LSS with this song I'm sharing you now. The first time I played the song, I fell in love with it immediately, not to mention that the music video's pretty cute and quite deep. Kimbra's charm is just OOZING. Ever since I played this song, it's been on loop. Come on! PRESS PLAY!!!

But I warn you, if we have the same type of music, this song is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE.

Enjoy!

Oh, and this one too!

Hee.

PJs yet again

October 20, 2011

Can't help it--when I expect the morning to be laborious or I'm just feeling extra chill/extremely lazy/bloated, I grab my plain loose basics. To compensate for the lack of quality to flatter my body, I always depend on high heels and its no-fail ability to create the illusion of making me taller. Finally, I throw on some accessories, preferably gold, acting like spice to a bland meal.

top from Zara; harem joggers from F21; heels from Parisian

Ac couldn't help it. She loves these boots so much that she borrowed it the following day! Hehe.

Quite dainty
